Antique Questions Forum / Desk with stamp MYRTLE and a tree
« on: September 07, 2008, 07:50:22 pm »
I was given a desk today, I was told it was old like from the 70's, but it has clean lines and looks modern, its solid wood and extreamly heavy for being so small. It has 1 drawer and 1 hanging file drawer on the right side, the back is solid. on the top drawer, there is a wood burned stamp. Has a nicely shaped tree and the words in cap MYRTLE
Its dark burgundy in color, the inside drawers are a nice natural wood color, It also seems low, like may be a child's office desk.
I have searched and cant find anything on this. Does any one have a clue.
I can post a pic tomorrow if needed.
Thanks for any information,
Sharon
