Antique Questions Forum / Unusual gravy boat (silver/silverplate?)
« on: September 10, 2008, 07:22:06 pm »
I have a gravy boat that appears to be silver or silverplate and is unusual in that its handle comes off the side of the bowl as opposed to opposite of the pour spout. The base of the boat is composed of large 'silver' beads and the same beads (four) appear on the free end of the handle. The handle has a mark on it of three crowns in sort of an inverted pyramid. Anyone know about the origins of this funky gravy boat? Were they mass produced? Is it plate or silver? Does it have any worth? Thanks for looking and hopefully helping me on my hunt.
