Antique Questions Forum / Wondering about this unsual antique trunk, never seen one before like this?

I bought this trunk in an antique auction. The figures carved in the wood are very interesting looking, it has an Indian feeling, in particular the inside, all in wood as well. The inside has several drawers, and the top of the inside looks like little windows (see photo). I do not have any idea about it. I would appreciate if anyone has can tell by the photos what kind of trunk this it. Thanks so much for any help.[img]
