Antique Questions Forum / Odd cast shields?

Hello my mother recently bought these two shields at a garage sale.  I seem to remember that odd looking mammal eating apples off the tree and the griffin in the one crest, but the other does not seem familiar.  Any help on identifying these shields would be greatly appreciated.
