Thank you so much for your help....I did contact the meekers unfortunately, it is something bigger than what they typically sell but, they were very helpful in putting me in the right direction.

Thanks again.  Any other suggestions on buyers would be great....I figure it would serve a museum or private collector better than it will my mom.

Hi Everyone,
  My mother just bought a house that had this antique pedal tool in the cellar.  We are stumped even as to what it is...our early guesses are some sort of wood working tool or an antique saddle punch...It has a 5 pointed star brand logo on the base and that is the only marking on the entire thing....any thoughts or even guesses are welcome.
