Antique Questions Forum / Found what looks to be an old compass

I found what seems to be an old compass in my brother house, while tearing down some walls.  This is a very old house, and i dont know the exact date of being built. I do know that is was a part of the underground railroad. I did take some pics.

anyone know how much this could be worth?
