I posted here a few years ago and received a tiny bit of info regarding a bronze elephant my father brought back from the Korean War.  A local antique dealer once told me it was an incense burner from the Ming Dynasty.  Another forum member suggested it was Korean.  In all these years, I have never seen another like it, so I am renewing my question to anyone with knowledge about this priceless to me artifact.  Thanks!

My granddaughter recently uncovered this lovely bracelet in a family trunk.  It is a woven floral design, and is marked sterling in two places.  The bracelet does not appear to besolid, as it has several dents throughout.  It measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter.  If anyone could shed light on its history, I'm sure she would be delighted to hear it.  Thanks in advance.

The pagoda will rest on top without assistance- I let the screws just hang in the holes to stabilize it in case I inadvertently bump it while walking by or dusting...

Correct- not threaded.  The screws are just some old ones I found in the garage- not original to the elephant....

My father brought this back from the Korean War as a going away gift from his houseboy.  A member here identified it as South Korean, but I have not been able to locate another one anywhere.  I was told it was a Chinese incense burner from the Ming Dynasty.  I would appreciate any additional information that might be out there.  Thanks.

D&b- Now that my curiosity has been piqued, I'm desperate for more information.  I spent quite some time searching all things Korean, and was unable to find anything of relevance...Do you have additional information about this elephant or a specific contact who could help answer my questions ( age, purpose, etc)? I just want to be able to properly identify this item so that when my kids ultimately put my belongings in a garage sale, at least they will have some of the history- (whatever that may be)......I do appreciate any knowledge you may have on this...Thanks....

Hello- First time post here.  I hope the photo is properly uploaded.  I would love to know more about this bronze elephant that my dad brought back from the Korean War.    I've been told it was a incense burner and dates from the Ming Dynasty, but have never found another one like it.  It is approximately 12 inches long and slightly over 16 inches tall.  If anyone can help tell me more it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
