Antique Questions Forum / Can you date this book? Under Two Flags- Ouida
« on: February 01, 2011, 01:28:00 am »
I have this book that I purchased at an estate sale. I can not find any pictures matching this cover. The inside is very fragile and yellowed. Attached are some pictures of the cover and some pages inside. There is no publishing date. Any assistance as to a time line and possible worth would be wonderful! Thank you!

I picked this up from an estate sale not to long ago and just wanted to get a little info on it. There was an old price tag on it from Gem Suite Treasures located in Snohomish, WA and was priced at $239. I want to find out what century its from as well as about what price range it would be in today. If anyone has any answers that would be great! Thanks in advance.

I cant find anything on the internet about my Simmons sofa bed. I know they started to produce them in 1940 and thats about all I know. I am trying to sell it and dont want to sell for to little if it is worth something. If anyone could help that would be great.

Here are some pictures.

Thanks everyone for the input! This is a very good forum that I plan on staying a member of for awhile.

Here are some close up pics of the wood inlay(its gorgeous, about 5 different types of wood)... would you still be estimating the amount you said earlier?

Also, I do want to say that that is all wood inlay, it is not painted.

Do you know what era these are from? Thanks a lot for the help!

I acquired these from my great aunt and I am looking to get a little history and possibly a value on them. I have called local company's to get them appraised but all they suggest is to take them to auctions. I would hate to take them to an auction not knowing how much I should be looking to get for them. If anyone could help that would be great!
