Thank you for the information.  I would never have guessed!!

Best thing is that it was 49 cents!  I thought it was interesting enough to take the chance 🤔😊

Good morning!
I found this wood thing at an estate sale but don’t know what it is used for.

It has a metal rod that snaps tight into a groove.  It measures 24" X 11 1/2" including the handle.  It is quite lightweight!

Thank you in advance for any ideas!

Hi,

I bought this 7" covered stoneware pot and can’t find anything about it.  It seems to be hand painted.  Does anyone recognize the mark on the bottom?

Thank you!

Hi!
I found this in some things of my 94 year old aunt.  It is heavy metal and measures about 4" across the round top.  It looks like it is broken off at the bottom.
Thanks for any information.

Hi,
I just bought this pan at an estate sale.  There are no markings on it so I don't know if it is new or old.
It is the size of a pie plate but has the raised area in the middle.  It is quite heavy for its size.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The only trouble I can see with that is that it is very fragile!

Yes.  There is a small hole on both sides.  Only one still has the little piece of string on it.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew what this thin 3 D celluloid piece would have been used for.
It measures about 5" square and is thin.

There is a small string on the right side like it would have been attached to something.  I  can't find anything like it!
Thanks for your help.

Antique Questions Forum / Madona?? Figurine Gabriel Fourmaintraux Mark
« on: April 15, 2016, 10:30:36 am »
Hi,
I just bought this figurine yesterday.  As far as I can find out it is by Gabriel Fourmaintraux in Desvres France.

I first thought it was a Madona and child but the sailboat threw me off.  I am also interested in what the age of this is.  I think the factory produced items into the late 1990's.

It is about 7 1/2" tall and is wide compared to the thickness front to back. Only the baby has arms.

Thanks in advance for any information.

I have one more question.  What would they do with this?

Thanks!  It seems to be the dot half tone.  It is an interesting little piece.

Here is a close up photo of what I mean by the dot pattern.  There is no texture at all.
