I saw an old copper fire extinguisher in a local antique shop and wondered what it might be worth. This is enscribed onto it: Underwriter's Laboratories Inc. Hand Fire Extinguisher Classification 2-A No. E 683660
W.D. Allen Mfg Co
The employee at the shop told me that it was the original fire extinguisher to the building, which is believed to be 100 years old. While doing some repairs, it was found and was decided upon to sell it.
I contacted the W.D. Allen Mfg Company and they said that they hadn't made the fire extinguisher in over 30 years and referred me to another company that had catalogs from years back. This company couldn't even find the extinguisher in the catalog, meaning it truly is an antique.
I do not have a picture, but it is similar to those found on the internet/ebay. Please let me know if you have ANY information on this item
