Guess PayPal will decide that.
Maybe shows how the unions really are a bad idea for America if this is the kind of work they do (not).
Paid for a service, then expect others to cover their behinds when they drop the ball.

Gotta love Judge Judy always telling it like it is and rippin someone a new one.
Guess I can see the logic but still makes someone at fault have none of the responsibility and those who are not to blame pay for it all.Fits right in with how our American system is run.

I hate to say it but the seller may have to refund you per eBay policy - and rightly so to a degree.

I think it would be wrong to expect the seller to be out the sheets and the money too on someone else's error.
They don't have big money or buying power behind them like a big name like Nordstroms. And out of that money your seller paid for sheets,PayPal, & selling fees to boot.

If you dispute it with PayPal the first thing they will do is look at the delivery confirmation that shows it was delivered. Why should an innocent party, you or the seller, take a hit? Why not put the blame where the blame belongs??

Is there a possibility the package was left with or delivered wrongly to a  neighbor or maybe tucked away in a obscure spot? Did you by chance confront your 'new girl' carrier about this?

Really stinks to go through all this frustration for packages but I think we've all been there more than once.
Then going to the post office for some answers and having them treat you like the bad guy adds insult to injury

Hope it all works out with minimal aggravation and hassle.
I would suggest posting your situation on eBays Seller Central forum and seeing what they have to say about it.
I have read that on occasion Paypal will foot the bill (hopefully not your seller) when buyer or seller is not at fault.GL

Yeah Albecht Dürer's Knight, Death, and the Devil should fit in nicely with a gothic type theme.

Heres a link to to eBay's accepted payment methods and 1 of them is 'Credit card or debit card processed through the seller's Internet merchant account'.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html

I would have to want the item pretty bad to use any other method (except local pick up) than PayPal. A seller not offering P.P. would really be limiting their potential buyers but I think I can understand why they are trying to get away from them.

Hope this helped

EBay Forum / Re: Selling on ebay !!

I do the same also Mart trying go a little above and beyond a computer generated correspondence from eBay but rarely do I get,nor do I really expect a response. When I do receive one it is always a pretty freindly exchange and it's never bitten me in the a-- yet but there are those who seem to be like instant freinds and that makes doing business on eBay all the more rewarding.

After spending a few hours on eBay's sellers central I was kind of surprised at how many very experienced sellers said to not communicate with your buyers any more than necessary, especially due to the fact that communication is one of the DRS rating that you are judged on.

Just seems to me that some the most memorable experiences I've had on eBay were because of extraordinarily nice people who sometimes shared a common interest.

I totally see Wayward's logic and maybe it rings true for the majority of buyers but if I can make a few freinds along the way my logic is why not?

« on: January 12, 2011, 10:06:19 am »
Thanks Wayward.

Looks good in the fact that there are alternatives in almost every respect compared to eBay.I also really like the fact that there are different payment options for sellers other than PayPal.Hope the popularity will increase and start to put eBay in check.

Any thoughts on if you guys think their auction format (# of bids opposed to length of time) will bring a seller more or less money than the typical eBay type of auction?

It would appear the seller fees are way more reasonable but I don't get how an auction would end dependant on the number of bids received.Wouldn't there be a huge amount of items that would go unsold and start to clutter the site?

I wouldn't mind trying this out and seeing how it goes.Appreciate another option to eBay thats for sure.

I've been checking out eBays seller forums and it just confirms what you guys have said.

There is no shortage of sellers who have been scammed by dishonest buyers looking for something for free and with eBays blessings.Truly amazing to say the least.

Here's just one story of many and the comments echo what you've been saying all along.

I know theres dishonest sellers out there also but I took it for granted that eBay and PayPal would at least try reveiw the facts of each case and try to be fair.

Thanks for your helping me see whats going on.

Thanks Mart-
I wonder if you can refuse a buyer who your just not sure of based on his feedback if its stated in your listing that you have the right to cancel bids based on feeback.
