Antique Questions Forum / Wooden spoon thing?

I hope I am not a bother here, but I have a ton of old things and I love to hear the history so, if no one minds . . . I'll be asking a lot of questions!   ;)

I have an old spoon thing, but it is not a true spoon as it doesn't have the scooped out part.  It is more like a wooden carved stick with one end larger, like a spoon head.  I think it was used in canning.  There are no logos on it, so I believe it is hand carved.

Could someone give me some information if they have seen any others like it?

Here's a picture -

Does the center say "second quality"?

I believe it does.

Does anyone have any information on the Parrish company out of Chicago?  And why is this bowl missing the familiar triangle emblem of the Parrish company . . . unless there is another Parrish company?   :)

I had read that someone thought the Parrish company was out of Indiana and went out of business during the depression.  However, I can't find anything online to verify that or anything about the Parrish company.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Any thoughts?  I've tried to check into the Parrish mark, but can only find the ones with the triangle.   :)

Hi everybody - I'm new here!  I was wondering if anyone knew any information about an old wooden bowl that I have.  It's not a reproduction - that much I'm sure about.  It says Parrish on the bottom, but it does not have this in a triangle which is what I have read that the Parrish mark is like.  It also says Chicago on the bottom and in between those 2 words, I believe it says Second Quality.  Here are a couple of pictures!
