I am a novice or less when it comes to antiques. I have a hand carved couch and chair that were originally covered in red velvet. They were recovered by my mother in Gold Velvet. The wood frame travels all the way around the item displaying hand carvings. They are in beautiful shape. I am trying to find the history of such items. Were they made in the 50's or 60's or earlier. Where would I find more information about early furnature? What are they worth? Anybody know? Mexico Mo. djfam06@ktis.net
