Need help identifying 3 asian figurines!
« on: December 16, 2011, 08:31:06 pm »
Howdy,

I have 3 asian figurines, that appear to be made of a resin or plastic of some sort. They all range from 10-10.5 inches tall, including their bases. They all weigh over 1 lb. They also have marks/signatures on them, which I have included pictures of. The only history I know is they were purchased by my father in the 70s, and it's not known from who. Any help at all would be appreciated in identifying what they are.
Thanks for your time!

Another pic of the mark/signature that's on the back of the figurines:

to me they look to be japanese, they could be resin remakes of old ivory antique figurines?

Found several that were similar on ebay !!  Can you tell me what the mark on bottom looks like ?? Letters or does it resemble japanese script ??  Offhand I am guessing they may have been from an import store but can`t tell for sure !!
