Booths China
« on: August 31, 2004, 08:05:36 pm »
Could anyone out there help me by giving me an estimate on a set of china I have? Also would like to know the age if possible. The china is Booths and the pattern is Indian Tree. This is on the bottom of each piece also it shows what looks like a crown over the name Booths. States it was Made in England with the number A8138. I have 8 each of the following: dinner plates, salad plates, bread plates, soup bowls, fruit bowls, cups & saucers. Also sugar & creamer, gravy boat & plate, meat platter and 2 vegetable bowls. Have been told it's 1920's and has had little use. Thanks for all your help.

A wonderful set to own - let's try to date it - - try this site

http://www.thepotteries.org/mark/b/booths.html

If this is not your mark(s) stay with the site - go to home, and search Booth - there are other links, but the one I gave seemed closer -

http://www.replacements.com/webquote/BOOINT.htm

and this is a site that has perhaps your pattern?  I think they have 2 Indian Tree, both under "Booths. "

Prices given are high retail replacement terrific for insurance values.  Again, congrats on a nifty set.  A great example of British ceramics.  Enviously, KB
