Need Help identifying Ardalt-Capodimonte Bell
« on: March 20, 2012, 07:24:42 pm »
Hello,

I'm a little new to this site and could use a little help.  I have a Ardalt-Capodimonte-Italy #4498 Bell that is very detailed, I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the item and how much it may be worth.  I would really appreciate the help, as I plan to be of assistance to other as a new member on this site ;D!

Please post photos of your bell also of the mark along with dimensions. I can tell you that ( ARDALT) Inc. Corp., was located at 95 Madison AVE., New York and  was first used in 1945,Ardalt was an import export business that rebranded pieces and sold them as their own brand,  this mark has been  used on Japanese & Italian pieces and occurs also on pieces from other countries.

Identifying Capodimonte is difficult. The factory didnt protect their backstamp so vast number of objects were re-produced in large numbers.
