Thanks and a happy mother's day to all the mums of kids, cats, hamsters and all other dependent creatures.
I got a nice surprise today. My mother and I went out to Alviso for lunch. As we drove in, she asked me to show her where I had placed the wreath, notes and flowers on the anniversary of the Jenny Lind disaster, last April 11th. When we pulled up, I couldn't believe my eyes- Not only had it not been removed, but every bit of it had been carefully tended! Here's a photo of me with the memorial today, more than a month after I set it up. And even the single rose for John with his note and picture are still there! Just like you see it in the picture. It blows my mind that total strangers would do this. People can be awesome sometimes!
