Western Germany Stein
« on: October 08, 2004, 10:46:27 am »
I have a small german stein that was my great grandfather's.  All of the writing on the stein is in german.  There is very little on the bottom of the stein, Western Germany is stamped on the bottom.  There is a 2, then a large upside down V and it looks like either 1/4 or 3/4. Then towards the bottom is something that looks like a picture of an open book or an odd looking B.  I wanted more information about this piece and a value. thank  s

can't help you myself, but here's 2 other sites to try:

www.porcelainsite.c om

www.porcelainmarksa ndmore.firmitas.de

Chris Simon Marshall who is British/German visits the first site often, and Chris is the owner of the second site and can be reached by e-mail.  He can translate the language for you, and probably lead you to the maker.  Best wishes, KB
