Viet Nam Vet Seeking Stolen Lighter Collection
« on: November 24, 2018, 11:58:18 am »
This is from a dear friend of mine who is a Viet Nam veteran. Please lend you searching skills to finding his collection, especially the lighter he carried in battle. Thanks gang.

My Vietnam Zippo lighter was stolen several years ago along with a large collection of cigarette lighters from my home in Oak Knoll estates. It is engraved with a First Cavalry Division symbol on one side and a peace sign with my name (Chris McKay) engraved on the other. I am offering a significant reward for information leading to it's recovery. If you know or have heard of anyone attempting to sell a quantity of lighters. there were numerous types and brands including sets of Harley Davidson Zippos, Camel Zippos and many vintage Zippo advertising Zippos from the 1940's 50's 60's 70's. There were many other lighter brands as well. Literally a lifetime of collecting hundreds of lighters of all types. Any information would be much appreciated. Please share this post

He never told me about it before. I believe it was a house burglary. I know it's a needle in a haystack, but keep your eyes open, especially for that 1st Cav, PEACE sign Chris McKay lighter. That needs to find its was home.

Will do Talesofthsevenseas!  I know they all had meaning - but especially the one with his name and 1st Calvary.

My brother was in 1st Calvary and cherishes his pieces!
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
