And another dresser
« on: July 14, 2012, 06:37:01 am »
I believe this is called a serpentine front?

This dresser measures 49 1/2" tall, 31" wide and is 17" deep

There are two small drawers on top and then 4 full drawers and this dresser is on little wheels.

Again, we were working in tight corners in storage unit and the pics may not be so great but thank you for any information.

I will post a few more pics in a reply.

Serpentine front is right. It looks like walnut, ca. 1910-25 or so. Probably the nicest piece you've posted.

To me, the drawer fronts look like an oak veneer. The one piece back panel is usually a clue to post WWI era furniture.

Only my opinion,, but the best furniture of the 1900`s was this type !! Beautiful color, classic lines, not overwhelming as some pieces are !! And literally would last forever if cared for !!
