Question about vintage make-up compact / mirror!
« on: July 17, 2012, 10:48:01 pm »
Hi there!  I'm wondering if anyone can give me any information on this makeup compact - I have searched the internet trying to find the maker of this or any information but haven't found a thing.  It is in excellent shape with an enamel floral top and the original puff inside.  Also have the original box which has a cool sliding hinge.  Any help on with the maker / value would be fantastic!  Thank you in advance :D

Don`t recognize the trademark but it looks like late 50`s or 60`s stainless steel compact !! Every lady had one of these when makeup consisted of a liquid base then powder to set it !! Or some just used the powder to keep the nose from shining !!

I was betting same time period.  Not familiar with that mark either!

Yep, 50s/60s. Good guess.

I looked everywhere for the mark and came up dry.  I knew it was old just by the construction and weight.  I love how there are two hinges keeping the puff concealed until use.  Thanks for the help all :)
