Any old car buffs on here?
« on: July 28, 2012, 03:26:06 pm »
I found a couple large size period photographs of early automobiles. Other than seeing that one is a Studebaker and another one is a Case, I'm curious as to what model year some of them might be. Can you help me out? Thanks!

Case manufactured cars from 1911 to 1926.

I looked at the brass headlamps; those types of headlamps phased out rapidly after 1914.

Therefore, I'd say you cars are probably between 1911 and 1914.

This site (http://earlyamericanautomobiles.com/1912.htm) has great pictures of a variety of American autos by year.  You can compare year by year looking at the Case models or Studebaker ones on those pages to get a closer/more specific year.

Great picture; thanks for sharing.

Have fun!

It looks like they were lining up for a parade ..... given so many passengers in each car.

I guess you noticed the JI Case building in the background. They are still in business and were located in Racine Wi. They made thresher machines and tractors along with that car which was manufactured in 1911. If you Google them you will find they have an historical heritage group. I am sure they could help with shedding more light on that event. That is an awesome photo. I am certain they will take a great interest in it.

Please let us know what you find out

I have nothing important to add. I just want the email reminder when someone posts something cool in here.
