Shabbot Candle Holder
« on: August 08, 2012, 09:25:11 pm »
I hope this works, going to try and get these pictures attached. I found this in a thrift store. It's a Shabbot Candle holder made in Israel in 1931. Can any one identify and know the value of this item, which I will not part with.

Has the Lion of Judah and I bet those are the 12 Tribes of Israel.

I thought Israel wasn't declared until 1948. In the 1930s it was Palestine, under UK protection?

You're right they were not declared a state till then but it still existed. The author's name is "dayagi".
