Pre- Columbian Pottery
« on: August 24, 2012, 05:05:41 pm »

Need some more advice from the experts.  I went to an estate sale today of noted NASA Scientist who had a very diverse collection. While I purchased a lot of cool items, I bought 2 pre-Columbian items of which I need an opinion of the vase.  The tapestry piece came with a card describing the item but the small vase was on it's own. Base don the others items that were sold there I assume this is a good piece but wanted to run it by any one in the forum that is familiar with Pre-Columbian. It is about 3" high - please take a look at it and provide any opinions.

As usual, I always appreciate the knowledge shared in this forum..

Thanks!
Ray

Mayans used it (and made it) like today's everyday standard ware? Nothing special about it?
