Saint George Pin or Belt Buckle
« on: October 04, 2012, 10:46:42 pm »
Can anyone help me identify this item?  I have done many searches, but can't find anything like it.  I picked it up at an estate sale while I was looking for books.  It was in the library.  I am fond of Saint George and it caught my eye :)

Bigwull - do you know why they were called fibulas?  Was that term used in Europe only or elsewhere?  You always have the best info!
