I think if it were Amish they would not have faces, like Amish dolls. As I understand it is a religious belief about creating graven images. I suspect it is just out of someone's imagination and doesn't strictly follow a style. That would be my guess.

Now in earlier times, renters of apartments were lucky if they had something to cook on. And if they did it probably looked similar to what is pictured below.

In the 70`s the Amish couple were a popular theme in tole art !!

I do know that it came from somewhere on the east coast, and that's where the lady was who did the painting. So I guess she was a Pennsylvania Dutch/Amish artist. It's unsigned unfortunately. Now I'm kinda curious!
