It is common for artists in Europe to copy a style and use the surname of an artist whose work is selling or use a well known name. There are also Eastern European or Asian mass produced works of traditional landscapes or impressionist scenes with indistinct signatures.
Very common are scenes of Paris done in an impasto style - this is where the oil appears thick on the canvas as if applied with a knife.

There will be many, many of these Duchamps.
