I tried to do some family research. My parents had them for over 60 years and they said when they received these two vases they were close to a 100 years old at that point. I have a few other pieces I will be posting as we'll. My father traveled all across the world and would receive these types of gifts before he would leave the country to come home.
If this piece was an original what would it's value be? If it's not an original what would it's value be?
Right
If you can remember the images i linked to earlier in the thread Meissen did vases like this with panels of birds and then small insects.
I like the underglaze blue mark and even though the pics aren't as clear as i'd like, i like the appearance of the paste / porcelain.
You really need this valuing at an auction house that knows what they're doing because it's potentially worth a a few thousand. This might still be a 19th century Helena Wolfsohn copy of an 18th century Meissen piece though.
If you have other pieces i'd love to see them. They could help form a bigger picture.
