£300 ?! Is the restorer going to leave some cash in it ?
'Twould be nice but......
Msghopper and I own a trunk that is virtually identical to this one. When we got it it was almost worthless because of a 60s "antiqueing." We had a very talented friend restore it from the ground up, including new leather handles, paint and a new tray within. The cost was about $250. Looking on the internet, similar trunks go for around $500.
