Questions: What is it? What Year? How much?
« on: February 11, 2013, 09:21:56 am »
We have recently moved into a new house that had a LOT of antiques. I am having trouble getting consistent information on the items. I have included pictures of a few items below. Can you please help me with the following questions: What is it? What year is it? How much is it worth? Also, do you want it? Thanks ahead of time to anyone & everyone who replies!

MORE Items (Sorry it wouldn't allow me to post more than 1 picture per post due to its size).

FINAL set (for today at least). This makes up about 20% - 25% of the antiques I would like to get info on; however, I didn't want my first post to clutter up the forum with a bunch of pictures. Thanks for any & all help. (Tiffany Lamps/Tiffany Style Lamps: there is a two lamp set of the smaller lamp, and just a single of the larger).

The organ is ca. 1890. Sellers ask anywhere from $75 to $1k. Not a single one has sold on e-bay recently. Most are in the $2-300 price range,  and those aren't selling either.

The "Tiffany" lamps are reproductions,  probably worth $50 - $250.

The breakfront or buffet looks like a mid 20th century piece given the retro Art Nouveau treatment. Assuming,  however,  that it is "real, " we'll need more photos.

So that 's a few of them.

The breakfront is extremely heavy  It consists of 4 pieces actually and has locks which all work with a skeleton key    Thank you for all info

Can you please post a pic of the back of the Italian mirror?

What you have here is a beautiful parlor reed organ (pump).  Look inside the organ and/or upper left side of organ - see if you can find a serial number, name, date/year.  It was generally written on a tag or stamped on a metal plate.  This article is probably the best I have found to help you on this venture with the organ.
This site is a well done one that can help you out with your organ.  PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND!!!
This guy Ron even puts his phone # to help people out.  Good site full of lots of information links!!
