Need Help Finding Information - Wooden bucket with flowers?

Hi there!  We have a few items in the shop that we need some help finding information on.  We have googled the heck out of these and have come up dry - sometimes I have no idea what to even search for so ANY help is appreciated!  We will list these in 4 seperate posts just to keep the responses organized.  Thank you ahead of time for the help!

First we have an interesting wooden bucket of some sort.  I am looking for information on its age, origin and value (if any).  It is unique and neat!  It measures approx. 6" tall with about a 5" diameter.  The handle is metal and there are holes in the lid.  There appears to be missing feet at the bottom as well (there are holes where the feet or whatever was there used to be).  Thanks!

Looks like an oriental incense holder

Potpourri holder !!  May have sat on a small wooden base that has come off since the bottom is rather rough !!  Holes so you could smell it with the lid on !!

My first impression was kitchen use....a vintage garlic keeper/cellar.

However, the potpourri holder sounds reasonable!

Or could have been for the incense in stick form like Ipcress said !!  Wooden part in the top and balanced with corresponding hole in bottom !!

Thank you all for your responses - I do agree that it definitely looks to be some sort of incense or potpourri holder now that you mention it.  Still I am unable to find another like it online.  It is quite unique

Can you smell anything in it?  Sniff!

It smells like dusty wood haha it's very clean inside - maybe it wasn't used often?
