help with pottery dogs

The photo above, that has hopefully worked, is one of some pottery dogs I inherited. As I am clueless on this sort if thing can anyone tell me about them please ? Thanks in advance!

Well, I never!!....if you can find someone to part with $$$..for these....bite their hand off...I,ve never seen such an ugly pair of mutts in my life....

The fact that they are ugly also make them cool to me. I like ugly statues and things and I know a lot of my family and friends who buy things sometime buy something because of how cool and in this case "ugly" it is. It is what I would call beautiful ugly.

They are oddly made !!  How big are they !! And like was said,, need to see marks on bottom, if any !!

Sometimes I feel, its like leading a little  ole, blind lady across the street, ;D..if you,d looked at Sapphire,s second link...you,d have seen how high they are...17cm..in our money. or 6.1/2in in the old... ;D

Buyer beware...unless marked.  These items had been repro'd over and over again.  Needs "hands on" by someone in the know to know if they are quality made!
