Help dating an old van gogh print
« on: May 02, 2013, 12:22:50 pm »
I'm looking for info on a Vincent van Gogh print. Here is what I know It is labled on the back." No 1025 The drawbridge by vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) Published by The pallas Gallery, ltd London". the print itself is 13cmx11cm and is in a frame that is the same age.
Now I know that the original painting is not called the drawbridge it is langlois drawbridge, or Langlois Bridge at Arles. the print is specifically The Langlois Bridge at Arles with Road alongside the Canal, 1888, Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam (F400) any help in dating this would be great. Thanks

It has the look of a mid 20th century reproduction, possibly with some sun fading.

They're prints publicising postcards issued by The Pallas Gallery. Little value really
