I picked this up at an auction last nite , it was covered in horrible wallpaper, I removed it with alcohol and a scraper, only markings are on the top "Schleueter St.Louis Deluxe" any info would be great ! Thanks.

What are the dimensions?

Could be a bread box or a vegetable bin.  Or a canister for flour like you suggested.

Now, it could have also been used in a medical office for medical supplies....

Nice little tin item , JTHOBS34 .

Looks like there's a spot on top for a board (or a pad for a 'changing table' for the babies) .

Would be nice if you could steam off the rest of the adhesive (without using a scraper again) , scrubbed off with a nylon brush , but I sure don't know what adhesive the wallpaper was stuck on there in the first place .

I'm sure it looks better now than when you got it !

I'm wondering if the bin door knob is wooden , or seems synthetic ... and is it bolted or riveted on ?

Try Nail Polish Remover or plain old rubbing alcohol for the glue,, Cooking oil will work too depending on the type glue !! I would have sprayed it with water first to see if it was wheat paste !! Water removes Elmers, and wallpaper paste !!
