Is this a depression piece?
« on: May 29, 2013, 03:44:22 pm »
Another piece of pink glass found at a sale in a driveway. I thought it would be easy but I could not find it. The body of the glass has a depression glass feel, color and look. It is a small water pitcher measuring about 61/4 inches in height. No markings. Thanks all

No, it makes me want to slit yours. That's what depressed people do. Now had you shared that swill with me I may have spared you.

I think you are right. It does look like aurora. It is not a cream pitcher as it would hold about a quart or more. I realize that six inches sounds small but in actuality it is not.  I have not found a pitcher in pink which makes me think it may be a scarce piece, Thanks.

Martha my love, it holds a quart. Enough for sidecars for two. Join me? We can have at least two each.

Aurora pattern pitcher isn't footed and has a different looking spout. So much of that type of glass was mad in the mid-20th Century it doesn't have to be one of the "major" patterns.
