Ceramic Pitcher
« on: June 07, 2013, 12:35:17 am »
Hey again. I have this older looking ceramic pitcher. Would you guys know what it was exactly called? Like what kind of pitcher? water pitcher? And how much do you think it's worth? There's a chip near around on the spout. It's close to about 9" tall. Thank you!  :)

Well the mark suggests Keller & Guerin, Luneville but the colours don't seem right

The colors seem too bright for it to be very old. I'd call it a water pitcher, some might say it's part of a chocolate set.

In either case it won't be worth much, since it's not antique. The chip seriously detracts from the value as well. My feeling would be $10 or less.

Not sure about their brightness, just the choice. Those flowers on a blue and white ground ?

Can't see Luneville doing that

See, pitchers like that are very common in the UK and it's fairly easy to add a spurious Luneville mark.

Not saying it is but i think it's possible. Looking at other Luneville / Keller & Guerin items, there's a difference in quality
