Need Help Identifying Chinese Tool Kit

I don't know anything about this item. It's one of the items I inherited from my grandma's estate. She collected a lot of Asian antiques. This looks to be some kind of tool kit (although not complete) Not sure if it is celluloid but it's possibly ivory.I can't list anything ivory on ebay if I try to sell it (although I have heard some say there are ways around that) Judging by the pictures, has anyone seen anything like this before? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

Sure it's not pearl ?

Has the top broken - is that why there are four extra panels ?

Not sure. It could be pearl. The panels and top are not broken,they've just come loose. I was thinking about gluing it back and thought I'd rather someone else do it. If I were to advertise it on ebay or Ruby Lane I guess I could say celluloid or pearl,but I don't want to misinform any buyers.Wish I knew how to tell for sure. I also have no idea what they age of this is or even the origin.

It isn`t ivory !! Can you take a close up of the white object front and back that's in the bottom of the pic !! And what is the round metal piece,, what does it do if anything !!  I don`t think this is Asian,, only made in that style !! The small panels,, do they fit inside the case !!

Every time I try to photograph it too closely it gets all blurry. I'll try again with a different camera. I'm not sure what the tools are or their function. I know there are more slots than tools, so obviously some pieces are missing. The panels fit on the top. Like I said,it just came loose or popped out and I am afraid to try and glue it.I can't find any hallmarks or names on it,other than what I am assuming are initials on the front. I have no idea what it is worth or what I would even list it as should I decide to put it on ebay or Ruby Lane. If it's not ivory, then would't celluloid or pearl be the most likely guess? Thanks again in advance for any info. I'll try and get another shot if I can.

Chinese pearl gaming counters often look like this when photographed so i'm assuming it's pearl.

Looking at the English monogram this could have been made for someone, as i've not seen anything similar. An etui is usually finer with smaller attachments.

I don't know what kind of camera you're using, but my daughter taught me this trick. If you look at your settings there's usually a flower picture for a setting. Use that setting. It will cut the glare. It's the outdoor setting. This usually works.

Sometimes just taking the item outdoors in natural light will give a better pic !!! Not bright sun though !!

Most cameras today have a Macro setting, which helps with close up images.
