What might it be worth?
« on: July 18, 2013, 08:36:48 pm »
It is a Weiman marble top table.  It is 22 inches tall including the marble top which measures 16 x 64 and is 3/4 inch thick.  Has a drawer in the center and doors or either side of the drawer.  Inherited it and wondered if it was worth anything.  What I find similar on the net seems to be of value but am not sure.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have to agree with Wullie on this one. It is the name and quality. See here also

OK folks !! Find me something that's actually selling !! No matter the brand its still just used furniture in a style that is out of date and unwanted by most buyers !!  Would you trade some of your antique furniture for this  ??  It was a nice coffee table in its day but that day is long past !! No one is interested in this style anymore !! Remember you can ask what ever you want for a piece of furniture,,,getting it is something else !!

I agree with you on that, but the point here is...your valuation of this piece...falls way below, what it is worth...in a bouyant market....

Wullie,, that is about what it will sell for,,!!  Market has little bearing on used furniture !! It stays pretty stable !!   Try going to a few consignment shops,,garage sales,,ect !!  Some things just don`t sell !!

thats irrelavant...for insurance purposes..this piece has high value....and if its owner had to replace it ...by buying from the retail market..irrespectiv e of a less than bouyant second hand market..they would have little change from $750/$1000
