Probably a misperception on your part...artist/makers probably bathe in the limelight, that their pieces are bringing...

If they do not respond / or will not ,  contact the Corning Glass Museum curator  curatorial@cmog.org  They are very nice and very helpful make sure to send photos and I always try to be brief and place Val St. Lambert in you subject line ;D  Let us know!!  I always go to the main artist/ glass house if possible as they usually have the most complete records and almost always have a person who is lets say an  archives specialist!
