1828 McLoughlin Bros. Inc. Book

Hello all, I have a McLoughlin 1826 Jack and Jill childrens book and I’m looking for more information on it if possible.

Thought I found it in the McLoughlin Antiquarian Catalogue’ found here:

But my book measures 6.25″ x 8.75″. I know they made different versions of this book that year but would like to have the facts before I tried to sell it.

Based on what I found in regard to changes in addresses and logos over the years, it looks like your book was issued around 1930 or later. For as long as MB was in business, there really isn't much information to be found.

Yeah, looks early 20th.

If there isn't a date on the title page, or verso, then there's often a code there or on the last page which can help determine the age.

For a few companies in the UK from a similar period to this it's the last two digits reversed, so ###73 means the book was printed in 1937.
