Rare Antique Value Check- Liu Ying Jun
« on: March 25, 2014, 08:53:36 am »
Hi, I stumbled across this antique online. It looks like it's made of ceramic and looks quite rare and unique. I would just like to check if anyone knows the value or is able to give me a value gauge as I'm thinking of purchasing it from someone.

Please help thanks! :)

Although the item in question may or may not be a carved stone (maybe alabaster?) piece , it's not what would qualify as an 'antique' , Seawave .

The depiction appears to be that of a more or less modern-day soldier (Chinese,Korean?) , and you'll also note the tires/wheels are representations of modern-day rubber tires on steel wheels ... and there's fenders above the wheels too .

Perhaps it was intended to depict a 'heroic' pose , as was common in the cold-war era ?

Unless this one really floats your boat , I'd suggest you pass on it's purchase !
