Herbert Dubler Bronze Hummel

trying to get some info and value on a pair of "copper looking Hummel bookends"for my aunt, I've googled for hours and believe they are early 1940s Herbert Dubler bronze bookends, everything I can find just says that he made 60 or so figures and " even did some in bronze", but that's it. someone has a set on ebay, but listed as " brass Hummels"....I'll try post some pics

Do these have the name or signature on the base that would say they are really Hummel figures ?? I think maybe not since Hummels are made in Germany and yours says "made in USA" by Decorative Figurine Corp !!

According to Warmans Hummel field guide:, basically these were produced by Dublers Company during world war 2 when the Nazis forbid Goebel to produce Hummels.

I don`t remember much about that !! Greenacres collects a few Hummels I think,,maybe she will take a look soon !!

Associated with may not mean made by him or his company !!  You may need to go to a Hummel Collector site to find out about these !!  From what I understand if they are not incised into the piece,, they are not considered Hummels !! But the collector site or others here will know more than I do !!
