Well I must say the chest looks better !! I have had many that were given the same awful paint jobs !! The chest looks to be mid to late 20`s !! Hard to tell without close up pics !! You will not find anything by using the numbers on back !! Those numbers are only for company use and it is usually just the style/finish number !! As a rule furniture is rarely marked with Mfrs name unless very high end furniture so determining who made it is pretty much impossible !! Similar styles were made by Mfrs all across the country !! Your dresser is not Tiger Oak and unless I am way off,,I think it was faux painted with the pattern you see, then varnished to give it a wood look !! Its a bit later than the chest and is likely 1930`s or so !! I have had several pieces with this faux painting technique !! I made the mistake of stripping one to refinish it !! Was made out of 4 different woods with ash being the most prominent !! It difficult to tell the faux painting from the real wood for a novice !!
