I purchased a couple of these porcelain cherubs from the TS yesterday and unable to ID the porcelain mark or find and exact match to it online. I think the figurines were probably made in the second half of the 20th century but I'm not sure. I have seen a number of these figurines online but not with an exact match of the maker mark.

The cherubs are about 6" in height and are part of a set of 4 cherubs for the four seasons. On the bottom there is a crown with the letter "D" and the word "handarbeit" which I think means "handmade" in German. The letter "D" I would think represents Dresden.

Does anyone know who may have made these figurine and when they were made?

Thanks!
Kevin

Maybe Chris Marshall will pop by and take a look see...but this is a "variation" of the traditional Dresden mark.  That doesn't make it Dresden tho.

I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

KC, I would agree that it's a "variation" of the traditional Dresden mark and it doesn't mean it's Dresden.

Thanks!
