Question about a Austria china plate
« on: September 02, 2014, 08:03:08 pm »
This is what we think we know about this plate:

This maker's mark was used by Bawo and Dotter at their Fischem, Austria factory from 1884 util the factory closed in 1913.

Carlsbad China Austria

We have not found anything just like it doing an image search on Google. We are trying to estimate its value and hope someone will recognize the work and have some comments.

Thanks,

jws

JWS, can you please repost the picture using the directions at the top of the page. It isn't showing up.  Thanks!

Nice little plate there , jws .

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong , but I'm pretty certain (relying on my fading memory cells) this item would have been from a pictoral series .

Looks like sea/marsh birds to me , & guessing that they're hand-painted ?
