copper plated dish
« on: October 13, 2014, 11:13:06 am »
This leaf mint/bon bon dish is 6 inches long. It looks like it was plated with copper and the worn areas look to be a darker metal. It is easily bent. There is a mark I can't identify on the bottom. Does anyone know what it signifies?

The mark is crossed Imperial Chinese and Japanese flags with the star and Turkish Crest Moon for Mr. AA Vantine Company.  This is typically seen on porcelain!

Here is a site that "Welcome to Vantines.net, an on-line museum celebrating this long defunct importer of Asian goods."
