Help with antique glass bird ID
« on: October 27, 2014, 05:20:18 pm »
First post.  I apologize if there are format issues.

I am totally stumped on this one.  I have no reference or any idea of what to even call it other than yellow/brown antique glass bird.  I am hoping that the style of base gives away some information to the trained eye.

Any ideas or direction would be amazing.  Thanks!

That is a piece of Murano glass from Italy in my opinion. There was a great deal imported it the last century in the 50s thru 70s. It is hand blown. It is also referred to as Venetian glass.

Good stuff.  I found this listing on eBay using a search including the word Murano.
