sacred heart Mary portrait
« on: June 19, 2005, 12:49:10 pm »
My grandmother passed this on to my father when she died and my dad was wondering about the history and worth of it.  It is signed Lieber, and it is the virgin mary holding white flowers, and  her heart has a sword going though it and the heart is flaming.  I am not sure if it is a replica or done in watercolors.  It is on a carboard surface not on a canvas.  My great grandfather payed 150 dollars in the early 1900's for it.  her drape on her head is white and blue.  I found something similar in German I was wondering also if it could be by Ernst Maria Lieber.

Thanks Paula
