What's this Wooden Thing?

It measures approx. 36" long. Is it a walking stick? cane? Thank you!

Sure looks like this could be a homemade walking stick (has a handle versus hiking stick is straight on the end).  Perhaps someone else will chime in.

That is not a comfortable looking "hand grip" iffen it was made for a cane.

Maybe it t'was a newbie woodworker practicing.

Rauville, I totally lost it when I opened that link!  Oh my....laughed so hard.  Who in the world comes up with this stuff?  (Now I know what to get my better half for his 60 surprise birthday party this year!  LOLOL)

Okay....I looked it up to try and find all there were to see for a gag gift and discovered they have been around for years!!!!!!  Actually used in subzero settings to "direct dampness away" when garbed in heavy clothing!  For real!

Some historical information....

They were even made in METAL!  Ooooohhhhh, brrrrrrrrr, coldddddddd!
