« on: December 26, 2015, 01:44:54 pm »
Hello. I found this dish in my Nan's pantry  . Any ideas if this is old and does WL relate to maker?  It is very heavy and has a raised centre (see photos )  Can anyone help me ? Any info appreciated. Thanks .

Is the center section big enough to hold round crackers (like Ritz) upright?

Reminds me of the style of those from the 50's to 60's.

I am not able to id the maker...hopefully someone else will chime in soon!

Is this dish about the size of a large ashtray ??  Say about 6 or 7 inches square or there about ??

That's what I originally thought Mart - about an ashtray.  But then there aren't any dimples for resting cigarettes...

Haven`t found it yet but my second thought after ashtray was a bar condiment tray !! Lemons on one side, lime on the other and olives down that center slot !!  From the era when martini`s were the uptown drink along with the whiskey sour, manhattan, ect !! Since that WL on the bottom is raised,, that would likely have been the way the mold was made so had to be more than one !! I didn`t see any lines around it that would make me think it was stamped by hand !!
